Is it detrimental for a sprinter to use briefly use a hot tub the night before a race?

I've seen this discussed for distance athletes but never anything specific to sprinters. Is it detrimental for a sprinter to use briefly use a hot tub the night before a race?
A hot tub shouldn't have much effect the night before a race, unless you've worked out really hard that day (which you shouldn't have). Hot tubs/hot water is usually discouraged immediately after intense workouts because it can inflame muscles and make them sore, but after easy workouts or just recreationally a hot tub shouldn't cause any problems.

Most of the information about this is anecdotal and based on the experiences of athletes and coaches though, there hasn't been a whole lot of scientific research into it yet. Ask your coach his opinion on the subject and see what he thinks. Is it detrimental for a sprinter to use briefly use a hot tub the night before a race?
It's fine to use a hot tub before a race, there is no evidence for or against it, also no evidence that it will improve performance. Do not use heat after your race though only ice.Is it detrimental for a sprinter to use briefly use a hot tub the night before a race?
It won't make or break your race, but from what I've heard, it gets the lactic acid running through your body, mainly your legs, and that's not good at all. Try taking a relaxing...ice bath.
