Is it POSSIBLE to win in a sprint race to a person/sprinter who wears a spike shoes and when you are not?

Do you think the other 100m sprinter's can beat Usain Bolt if he did not wear his spike shoes?

Tell your answers honestly and frankly. .And JUSTIFY it.|||It is possible if you are faster than the runner wearing spikes. And yes I think the other ELITE sprinters could be Bolt if he did not wear spikes, he would not have the traction necessary to run at his best. There is a reason they all wear spikes.|||Saucony Men's KilKenny XC3 Spike Racing Shoe a half size larger based on reviews advising to do so. The shoe feels funky in the upper-third. It fits narrow and snug even with a half size lareger. The toe-box and area just past arch has an uncomfortable contour about the sole of the shoe. It looks cheaply made, however I did not try running in them, so they might actually be a quality running shoe. The soles are level, instead of being inclined toward the heel like so many typical running shoes have. This shoe is closer to a minimalist type of shoe. Therefore, it should promote a more natural forefoot landing when running, instead of landing on the heel first.|||That depends on lots of things, in fact Bolt does not win all of his races, so he certainly could lose without spikes.

Spikes make a difference in speed, and the amount of improvement depends on the distance of the race.

In the 100 it is thought that spikes make about 2/10 of a second over not wearing spikes, that is about 7 or 8 feet.
