Our company is looking to purchase a Dodge Sprinter. Are there special drivers licenses required to drive?

What if we go over state lines? Is a medical card required? Our company is looking to purchase a Dodge Sprinter. Are there special drivers licenses required to drive?
No special license required. If used for business, IE: hauling across state lines, then you do need a US DOT number and the driver does need a DOT medical card and must belong to a drug screening consortium, Have a DOT qualified driver file at main office etc. That's just stuff that must be done to qualify for the US DOT number. Our company is looking to purchase a Dodge Sprinter. In most states, any company vehicle used for business requires a "for hire" endorsement on the driver's license. And insurance, of course. My "for hire" endorsement (Tennessee) permits me to drive vehicles weighing up to 26,000 lbs--I never have seen a load that heavy in a 26' box truck, though it's theoretically possible. The Sprinter is far smaller than that. Unless you're stacking it floor to ceiling with lead, no additional special license is required. Our company is looking to purchase a Dodge Sprinter. No.
