I am 150 and I am a sprinter I run the 100m in 11sec and was looking at some videos about track and the sprinters look like they have alot of muscle...should weight matter.. am I too skinny or what
(I have never joined track but I want to)|||Top ranked sprinters have weighed from 130 to 220 pounds so weight doesn't matter. Certainly sprinters (or any athlete) is going to be at a disadvantage if they carry around extra weight as fat so most successful runners (sprinters) are toned with a low percentage of body fat.|||like most things its a weight to power ratio you can be light weight and have a little bit of leg power and be really fast or be heavy and have a lot of leg power and be fast the thing that matters most is that you should have a high fast twitch muscle fiber percentage around 70% or higher which is uncontrollable, but you run in the 11 so you must be doing something right
Do plyometrics hills and weight training
