Whats a good summer workout for a sprinter?

I am a sprinter and our season is over. I want to stay in shape and improve my times for the coming season. What is a good workout for me? I am a 100 and a 200 runner.|||lots and lots of hills. theyll really strengthen ur legs. find a 50-100m long hill thats fairly steep. do uphills 3 times a week. theyll help lengthen ur stride. the first time start out with only 5. then add a repetion every other session till u get up to around 15. u should do these at a fairly fast pace to try and replicate the 100 and 200.

another workout id definately do is downhills. they help u increase ur turnover. try to do these every day. do only 6-8 repetitions and pay attention when u do these because u can easily go too fast and end up falling or hurting urself.

some people advise against doing the downhills b/c they say it can cause injuries, but trust me from personal experience, ive been doin these hill workouts the past 4 yrs n i have yet to get injured from them plus they really help u. freshman yr my times were 12.4 for 100, 25.1 for 200, and 55.1 for 400. over the summer i did these hill workouts n the next yr i improved to 11.6 for 100, 23.6 for 200, and 52.4 for 400. also hit the weightroom. try to do core, leg, and upper body workouts 3 times a week|||jogging around at a college for 1 hr straight
