What are some ways to become a fast female sprinter by the end of the winter track season or spring track?

I just started running track this year and I am a sprinter. My events are 55m 100 and 300 and possibly in spring 200 well my thing is I feel as if I am so slow. When It comes to the events in practice I wind up being the last to finish it makes me feel bad. Is there a way I can improve my speed and become even faster.|||Ok you'll need three things

Power, Speed, and Technique

Power is like acceleration to get out of the blocks quick.

Speed speeks for itself and technique.

Sand training and hill training is a great way to build up speed and acceleration.

To be a fast sprinter you will also need strong core muscles such as your back and abdomen. Simply...situps help that :P

But the most important thing...technique is what you need to be a good sprinter..it is vital compared to middle distance and long distance runners.

Back straight, arms swinging forward and not across your body, running on your TOES especially and not heals, and nice long strides.

also is important to pump your arms as fast as possible because the faster your arms go...your legs will follow. (to prove my point try walking slow and pumping your arms as fast as you can, ya go all over the place :P)

hope this helps
