Im mostly a sprinter and its hard for me to run long distance?

I am mostly a sprinter for 100m and 200m and very rarely 400m, I find it very hard to run 4+km is this normal? Because I heard about different types of muscles, I find myself mostly fast twitch and have been lifting weights for a while. Whenever I run more than 3km and on, it gets really hard, is this normal? Thanks|||oh yea totally normal. next time u are at a meet. compare the 2mile kids to the 100 meter kids. completely different most of the time. distance is only reccomended when u want to train for longer sprints (400 and 800)|||run more miles.|||Yes it is normal. When you are training for sprints you are training speed. When you are running further distances you are training endurance that you will not have when you are only training to sprint|||Yes, you are training for speed, not endurance. You are minimally better prepared to run 3-4+ km than if yu didn't run at all. Why are you running 4+km anyway?

Good luck with your running!
