Will all practice and no competition make me a slower sprinter?

I'm not allowed to compete at my school but I can practice with the track and field team.I specialize in the 100 and 200. I practice with JV since i cant compete though i believe I am Varsity level. Will all practice and no competition make me a slower sprinter?|||Competition is important since it gives your the running experience and increases your adrenaline. During races running with the best it's easier to run personal bests. However, your practices is really your most important indicators and can be considered races. Try to run in all comer meets if you can't compete or run on a track club for more practice or take your training to the next level with some hill sprints, wall climbing, form work drill, relaxation techniques or gym workouts.

Don't try to beat the other runners instead never stop being the best that you can be. Good luck!|||As they say, practice will make you perfect. Competition will help you in the process, but practice is better. In my opinion(:|||no, because your still working out. for example: if i'am playing football for my highschool team and i practice and don't play i'am still getting better.
