What is a good weight to be for running high school track as a sprinter?

i plan on running sprints like the 200m dash and on but right now my weight is in the mid 140s and im trying to gain more weight but im makin sure its muscle so i can be a better sprinter. if you have ran track as a sprinter or you just know what weight i should aim for i would appreciate it.|||Depends on your height.

Bodyfat and water levels also need to be taken into account.

Typically a (successful) sprinter who's 5'8" is at least 160 pounds @ 8-12% bodyfat. And Increase by 5 pounds for every additional inch after that... So at 5'9" 165 pounds, 5'10" 170 pounds, 5'11" 175 pounds and so on. Bodyfat and water levels are important too. There's is a major difference between someone who's 180 pounds @ 20% bodyfat than someone @ 12% bodyfat.|||Well that would really depend on what your height is.... As you know it would be different if you were 5 foot from if you were 6ft!
