Alright, so I am in deep need of help. I just joined track this year, and I am doing sprinter, because everyone I know says I am a fast runner, but in track, I feel as if I am incredibly slow!
I really need some help onto become a faster runner/sprinter! Please and thank you!|||I was the fastest sprinter in my class during high school. In my freshman year, I was just an average sprinter. Over the next couple of year, I basically created a work out that I followed 5 days a week: I started to run as fast as I could (no excuses) for 30 seconds every day and increasing that by 30 seconds every month. So first month I ran as fast as I could (afaic) for 30 seconds, for the next month I ran for 1 minute afaic and increase that by 30 seconds every month. Every year from sophomore year on, I've only gotten better. In my senior year, I was the fastest. I guess if you want quicker results, you should increase the time every 1 or 2 weeks instead of a month. Hope this helps.|||When you sprint, a good method of running faster is to clench your teeth, open your mouth as if smiling and breath through the side of your mouth as fast as you can. I find that doing this and pumping your legs faster helps make me extremely fast. Another way I learned is to not breath at all during the 100m sprint. It makes you want to finish faster therefore making you run faster.
Hope you have good luck!|||try to do more leg workouts.
like high knees, A kick, etc.
and if you keep you arms
right next to your side.
and pump them more,
it will speed you up.
and if using blocks,
try to stay down after takin off,
for at least 5 seconds.
[slow counts]|||use your arms more and get spikes, they really do help you run faster
and im the same was, i do indoor track in the winter as a distance runner then tennis in the spring, and that involves a lot of sprinting|||Same thing with me. Everyone told me i'm a really fast sprinter but i've done ok. I've heard if you pump your arms more it helps you.
Good Luck!
