What should the diet of a sprinter be like?

Okay, I am a male sophmore who is doing Track. I was wondering what a diet for a sprinter should be like. How many calories should I consume? I think I am eating around 2700 calories a day. Should I increase it? What foods should I be eating?|||I would think you'd want to be up around 3000 calories, but the right amount depends on your training schedule. You want lots of unsaturated fats and protein in your diet because a sprinter needs to build explosive muscle more than a distance runner. Can't your coach help you with this?|||heyyy:) i do track also im a freshman though..lol...2700 calories is alittle more than i eat but your an older male so maybe you should increase your calorie intake.
